The One With The New Address

Hey all,

because Xanga is really hard to access in China, I am switching to a new website until further notice.

From now on check out:

www.freewebs.com/schwabtogo

for your Schwab fix. There are pictures and videos from last year, as well as a blog I'll be starting when I get back to China again.

The One With the Vacation

Finally. I'm going home tomorrow. If it ever gets here. I'm getting antsy since almost everyone is gone. My grades are turned in, bags are packed, I just have to print my boarding pass and I am GONE.

Everyone is on edge, stressed out about leaving or grading or saying goodbye. It's unfortunate really, because it's finally summer vacation and people are spazzing out. Oh well. Such is life.

I'm ready for summer break, even though it'll be busy with catching up and training. So, for now, I'm gone. It's been good.

Check the other site for summer updates, I'll be back on this one when I get back to China in August.

The One With the Exodus

Oh man, a week from now I will be landing in America and stopping at a Dunkin Donuts. The past week has been good but slow. Classes and grading are almost done, and team activities have finished.

Sunday was our last team meeting and it was good times. I will definitely those who are not going to be returning but I am looking forward to the new experiences that next year will bring. Saying goodbye was kind of sad, even though we'll see each other sometime. Right now about a third of the team is gone and the rest are leaving later this week.

In other news, students are pestering me about their grades. I got this text message from a student at 11:30 IN THE PM last night:

"Dear Schwab this is (insert student name and ID number). Can you tell me my final grade for your class? Thanks."

What the heck.

I wrote back: "Your grade will be online next week."

He wrote: "Well what about my final exam then?"

I wrote: "Yeah that will be online too. I have a lot of exams to grade."

He wrote: "Oh I see. Take care my dear Schwab and have a good summer!"

It's weird on so many levels.

The One Where I'm Off (as in Balance)

Today has been quite the day in the way of my personal clumsiness. First, I FELL DOWN THE STAIRS AT THE SUBWAY STATION. Don't worry, I recovered quickly and kept moving like nothing had happened. Thankfully there were no other foreign people around...

Then I was making my lunch today and accidentally dropped a WHOLE CAN OF TUNA on my rug and bed. I washed the rug and threw the trash out outside of my apt, but it still smells like tuna.

Awesome.
